Very much enjoyed meeting entrepreneurs in Brighton as part of @SMCommission engagement with The Maple Review. We have been looking closely at the barriers to UK start-ups and this Review sounds like it’s going to make some great recommendations to Government!

70% of UK workers are in occupations involving tasks that AI could potentially perform or enhance. It's easy to see why AI ‘stealing’ jobs is a hot topic in the news. But AI also has the potential to increase opportunity and boost social mobility.

We’re currently exploring how young people become ‘NEET’ and, crucially, what support young people say they actually need to get back into education, work or training. As well as looking at benefit recipients to understand "stickiness" across different age groups.
SSAC@The_SSAC

*NEW REPORT* At a time when more than 1 in 8 young people are NEET, SSAC finds that benefit rules at age 16 can create financial cliff‑edges - particularly around apprenticeships. The impacts fall hardest on disadvantaged families, including young carers. gov.uk/government/pub…
