I must say Iván Barton has been an outstanding referee during the #FIFAWorldCup. We’re often critical of referees, but got to call the good ones out every now & again too. #FRAvESP

I'm also firmly in the scrap the cap group and I'd love to see pro/rel. Let the best rise to the top and raise the standard of the league. If there's casualties along the way, so be it. We've got that happening anyway.

Also, on May 14, #TarneitFC failed to satisfy the mandatory criteria set out in the Regulations for A-Leagues club licensing. No surprises there. In June, some VPL 1 players & coaches also departed, while another “white knight” article surfaced with #TarneitFC claiming they want to “ensure football continues to thrive in the Melbourne’s west”. This #MCFRANCHISE🍟 is effectively a ☠️ carcass, any interest to resurrect it defines ⚽️ logic/common sense. @SMEMUFC @UTDRadja A reaction would not necessarily warrant a red card. The primary decision is made on whether confrontation was underway or not - the referees have been alerted to the possibility of a fake reaction.

@UTDRadja So what happens if the #Norway player reacts? The problem with the rule is that it relies on the reaction from the opposition player to determine if it’s a red card or not. The only real answer is that all instances are red, or remove the rule.

@SMEMUFC Because it wasn’t in a confrontation/confrontational manner. Confrontation + covered mouth = red card No confrontation + covered mouth = no red card A pretty simple concept to grasp to be honest

@SMEMUFC @joshthelad3 Changed the rule before this WC to disallow a goal if a foul before the ball was kicked and retake a corner. PL not implementing the rule next season.

@RobbieSlater17 Love your honesty! What you missed though, is that the FA $23mil black hole is mostly due to underwriting failing #ALeague franchises, rather than investment in football. Without a proper independent Gov inquiry into FA governance & operations, this board will do as they like‼️
