No one has fuelled more personal attacks on John Beaton than you have. Calling him “brother Beaton”, questioning his integrity on multiple occasions and repeatedly insinuating that he has a preferred bias towards Rangers. Spare me this sympathy towards him now.

@liamcsc So what you’re saying is all the other personal attacks are valid but because this went in favour of the team Sutton played for then it’s wrong, you’re kind of proving the point.

@SMMediaEnt He has made some shocking calls in the past. The reason why the the abuse is particularly out of order this time is because it was a stonewall penalty that even Beaton couldn't deny when called over.

Today, the Scottish Premiership title-race goes to the final day for the first time since 2011. Best of luck to both sides. This is a massive occasion for our game and the world will be watching. Our league deserves this showcase after a whirlwind season, let’s hope it delivers in a positive sense and we are talking about a very good football match afterwards.

Those managers are sacked, those goalkeepers and strikers get dropped. Your referees fail upwards and are given games every week after making regular mistakes. We condone and abhor any personal abuse and threats aimed towards referees as everyone should.

I don’t think that Tavernier or Danny Rohl have covered themselves in glory here, sad end to his Rangers career. The big issue for Rangers here is that it just looks very amateur and it’s been a common theme for several years. Until they sort out the high school stuff, they will remain where they are.
