@sarahdorner Good to know that the saline works too because I also have a mountain of old tests. I considered adding a tiny bit of water to the remaining solution because I figure the original solutes should still be there, just more concentrated - but your way seems better. Get well soon

@SM_Doomscroller We had a ridiculous number of expired tests because my daughter salvaged them from her school at the end of the school year two years ago. She brought them home in a garbage bag.

@jennyleeshee Once when I had a sore throat that felt like swallowing broken glass, to the point where I was afraid to swallow, I found that liquid Advil (ie for children) relieved the pain better than anything else. I guess it was working like a topical application? Good luck!

@EpiEllie I wonder about the potential for mutagenesis. ie viruses that are exposed to the UV but don't receive a killing dose (either because they're not close enough to the UV source, or not there long enough). Is it possible?

This is a question for physicists or dermatologists or ophthalmologists, or idk who but: how sure are we these “far UVC” light systems people are proposing as a tool for killing airborne viruses won’t lead to skin &/or eye cancer in the people spending all day in these rooms?

Currently, Canadians are not well informed about alternatives to cigarettes that are available, because our laws don't allow them to have access to information about these options. A smoke-free future is possible, but legislation should not act as a barrier.
