Ever wondered what #P4FP and #RA_PURE really mean? They represent a powerful shift in how we grow food and power our farms. #P4FP, Power for Food Partnership, is an initiative working to transform Rwanda’s agri-food systems by combining two critical forces: 1️⃣Regenerative Agriculture (RA) Farming practices that restore soil health, boost biodiversity, improve water retention, and increase long-term productivity. 2️⃣Productive Use of Renewable Energy (PURE) Using clean energy solutions such as solar and biogas to power irrigation, processing, storage, and value addition across the food value chain. Together, #RA_PURE means: ✅More productive farms ✅Lower production costs ✅Reduced reliance on fossil fuels ✅Stronger resilience to climate shocks ✅Sustainable livelihoods for farming communities This is not just about producing more food. The Permanent Secretary, @CanothMa, held a courtesy meeting with Ms. Eleanor Hartzell, the Country Director of @SNVRwanda. Their discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration to strengthen ongoing infrastructure projects and future initiatives.

Youth Entrepreneurship in Agriculture - Rwanda (YEA-R) is a five-year Mastercard Foundation program that seeks to create 40,000 dignified and fulfilling work opportunities for young people in the agri-food sector in Rwanda by 2029. The program’s goal is to foster inclusive and sustainable economic growth for young people, with a specific focus on young women and young people with disabilities in the horticulture and poultry value chains. The programme is implemented by a consortium of partners led by SNV, which includes HoReCo, Imbaraga, UWEZO, Kvinna till Kivinna, Our Sisters Opportunity, Resonate, and Afro Ark.
