📍🇯🇲 Exercise Tropical Dagger XIII (Ex TD XIII) is underway in Jamaica from Jan. 30 to March 7, 2026, bringing together Special Operations Forces from Jamaica, Canada, the United States, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, The Bahamas, Belize, and Guyana. 🇯🇲🇨🇦🇺🇸🇧🇧🇹🇹🇧🇸🇧🇿🇬🇾 Co-hosted by the Jamaica Defence Force, Canadian Special Operations Forces Command, and United States Special Operations Command South, Tropical Dagger is a long-standing, professionally coordinated multinational training activity conducted since 2012. The exercise strengthens interoperability, enhances regional security cooperation, and contributes to continental defense by enabling Caribbean partners to develop the skills and capabilities necessary to prevent and respond to transnational criminal activity. During the initial two weeks of training, sniper teams refined the fundamentals of long-distance precision shooting, while partner forces advanced their proficiency with drone systems—from basic familiarization to observation tactics and precision maneuvers. At the range, participants reinforced marksmanship fundamentals and executed live-fire drills focused on improving interoperability and SOF tactics. Following three weeks of interoperability and specialist skills training, exercise participants will take part in two weeks of SOF mission scenarios to further test their abilities. In a ceremony at the Pentagon today, U.S. Marine Gen. Francis L. Donovan assumed command of #SOUTHCOM, succeeding acting commander U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Evan L. Pettus. General Donovan brings decades of distinguished service and leadership experience to SOUTHCOM. An infantry, reconnaissance, and special operations officer, he has led Marines and Sailors in combat, contingency, and expeditionary operations across the globe, including at sea, from the sea, and ashore. Hoy, marcamos juntos la entrega de una contribución de armas y equipamiento militar valorada en USD 700.000 al Batallón Conjunto de Fuerzas Especiales de Paraguay, financiada por @USSOUTHCOM. Durante el evento, también se dio inicio a un programa de entrenamiento de seis meses, liderado por el Séptimo Grupo de Fuerzas Especiales del Ejército de EE. On December 3rd, 2025, our combined efforts led to the seizure of 1.4 tons of cocaine, valued at approximately $98 million. 📍🇵🇪 U.S. and Peruvian forces conducted joint exercises at Primera Brigada de Caballería from Nov. 13-16, 2025, to strengthen partnerships and improve interoperability. The bilateral exercise included U.S. Civil Affairs (CA), Psychological Operations (PSYOP), and the 1st Security Force Assistance Brigade (SFAB), along with Peru’s 1st Cavalry Brigade, conventional army, and Fuerzas Especiales Conjuntos (FEC), the nation’s special operations forces. The SFAB led planning for the exercise, focusing on enhancing Peru’s ability to counter violent extremist organizations, with support from the Cross Functional Team. During the Information Preparation of the battlefield and civil considerations phase of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), PSYOP and CA shared techniques, procedures, and best practices with Peruvian soldiers. After completing MDMP, Special Forces advised on implementing special operations during the tactical portion. @armysfabs
