In 2010, Gavin Andresen built the first Bitcoin faucet. You visited a website, solved a captcha, and received 5 BTC for free. No account. No ID. No strings. The goal was simple: get real coins into real hands so people could actually use the network.

Seeing the faucet balance go down a little bit faster than I'd like here so I'm going to make the claim limit every 2 hours instead of 1 hour so we can remain sustainable. Again, this can always be adjusted as we go. The $FAUCET stays on!

The goal here is to make Solana, pump fun, and crypto in general an accessible piece of technology just as the creator of the original Bitcoin Faucet intended for Bitcoin. Simplicity is the name of the game. $FAUCET

Update has been pushed, Helius key has been imported so we shouldn't run into this issue again. The faucet stays on!

Seeing we're getting rate limited by the public Solana RPC so I'm importing a helius key now. Shouldn't take more than a couple minutes!

Adoption was always the goal for cryptocurrency, the original Bitcoin Faucet played a big role in that. I want to carry the torch and encourage mass adoption of Solana.

We have officially hit 500 claims! This is only the beginning for the faucet.

Was 8k here. Finally getting the recognition. When BTC day hyped up the relaunch of the BTC fsucet, it turned out to be a PR stunt Now sol have their very own sol faucet. I've already claimed mine on a few dormant wallets solanafaucet.tech

Going to test out having our limit per user be one claim / hour instead of 24 hours. Just finding the sweet spot of longevity and retention.
