"No degre requirement" is the most nepotism handout of an executive level position I've ever seen for a salary that large. I get it's because they want you that bad, but they downplayed themselves trading education for "experience". Any other candidate not building a cancer center won't get the same treatment. Good on you for turning them down for your own dreams, but a backhanded response on basically wanting you that bad that they'd waive requirements and be absolutely lenient/desperate to have you would have been a cherry on top.

🇺🇸 Unions canceled school for 20+ U.S. districts on May Day to force families into their protests. No option out. Kids' education is now a bargaining chip. When a labor movement starts using children as leverage, it's no longer about workers' rights.

NC teacher pay is in the bottom 5 in the nation. They also don't have a union to represent them. They are proving a point to do it during a school day versus a weekend. It's not the greatest strategy, but blame the local politicians for not coming up with a budget and, even more importantly, prioritizing education. Ironically, we're a blue state in terms of governance. Make the politicians hear their message by disrupting families and parents enough to speak up, too.
