Bright young Muskan from SOVA–ASTHA Children Home, Koraput was honoured with the "Paraba Samman", presented by Hon’ble Minister Suresh Pujari—a proud moment of courage & confidence. Earlier, her soulful singing at the State-Level Mahak Children’s Festival won hearts & an award.

South Orissa Voluntary Action (SOVA) set up an awareness stall and a lively puppet show to spread strong messages against child marriage. Through culture, fun, and dialogue, we aimed to spark action towards a child-marriage-free society.

At the closing ceremony of the 16 Days of Activism 2025, our District Coordinator Ms. Uma Satnami was honoured by the Nabarangpur District Administration for her outstanding work in preventing child marriage and protecting girls’ rights. Her dedication inspires us all.

Students from the Anthropology Dept., Vikram Dev University, visited SOVA, Koraput to learn about grassroots NGO work. The session was facilitated by Secretary Mr Sanjit . The team appreciated the experience and praised SOVA’s efforts in empowering tribal communities in Koraput.

SOVA, Koraput partner of @JRCIndia, conducted awareness and pledge drives in Koraput under the #BalVivahMuktBharat campaign, aligned with the Govt of India’s 100-Day Action Plan. Families were sensitised on the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act and its legal consequences.
