@electionsjoe Sounds like it would be a good idea to have someone read the constitution, and its amendments to him. Specifically the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments, and as extra credit - the voting rights act of 1965. Not a whole lot left to interpretation after that.

While I was finishing dinner earlier, a friend I used to have popped into my mind. He was a Department of Homeland Security guy. When I made my exit from the Republican party I wasn’t quiet about it. The degree to which he defended Trump was shocking. My friend was a bright guy. But, it was clear…he’d gone all in on Trump. I didn’t have room for that. None. We haven’t had contact in about five years. I don’t mourn the loss of the friendship. I detest the fact that I know there are more like him.

It’s Christmas, and what is Greg Abbott doing - he is sending busses full of migrants to stand in the freezing cold outside the Vice President‘s home. Men, women and children used as props in a performative stunt. Because in today’s Republican Party, the cruelty is the point.
