To a large extent, affluent centrist guys in Generation X who now make their money talking smack about the deep state with celebrities, are better off with the democrats in charge, because then they can lie and fear monger and coalesce a large centrist + right wing audience. Whereas under a right wing admin they desperately have to gin up ever more retarded phony concerns, invent problems and blow every little thing out of proportion. Literally every issue they’ve spent the last year and a half whinging about are FAKE bourgeois shitlib entertainment consumer concerns, and have no relationship to their actual day to day lives or those of the nation writ large.

Shawn Ryan just told Joe Kent he’s out on voting Republican at midterms. Joe Kent: “For the midterms, you're going to need a lot of hardcore MAGA people to come out and knock on doors.” Shawn Ryan: “Don't come banging on my door.” “I don't want to hear more of those lies.” Joe Kent: “I hear that from a lot of people.” @joekent16jan19 @ShawnRyan762

NYT isnt the only one tracking adult initiates. Every diocese has their per capita numbers. The fact that its the largest ones who dont want to seem like theyre doing worse reporting these numbers and not ones like Arlington and Raleigh which per capita have leagues higher initiate rates is telling.

Just some thoughts about the importance of research design. There are 195 diocese in the US. The NYTimes has data on 24 diocese. So that's 12%. Did they query every single diocese and only some responded? If so, we can't infer much at all from this data. Because the ones that responded have a strong motivation to do so. That motivation? They want to publicize their growth.

The average Southern man in his 50s who lives in rural Alabama and has done absolutely nothing but vote for the most RW candidate in the primary and then straight ticket R in the general since he first registered to vote in 1992 understands the Friend/Enemy Distinction far better than some of the largest influencers on this platform.

It's easy to forget that this year marks the 250th anniversary of the USA's independence. Around 20 years ago, such a milestone would be celebrated with a year-long blitz of TV specials, movies, decorations, books, exhibits, etc. Today, it barely registers as a footnote.

Needs to be put into perspective that denaturalization is very rare; between 1990 to 2017 there were only 305 cases total, then 170 under Trump's first term. The current DOJ wants to push that towards hundred a month, which is a never before seen legal challenge.

The denaturalizations are starting. I repeat—the denaturalizations are starting. Yes, it’s only two. But we’ve broken the seal. It can be done. Now it’s just a matter of scale. First 2, then 200, then 200,000. Pretty amazing to see this in my lifetime.

“Third Worldism” is a good term and I use it myself, but I prefer other names like “race communism” for two reasons. 1. Its enemy is not just the West but white people explicitly. 2. “Third Worldism” sounds foreign and it’s not. It’s the ideology of the American empire.

Once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Big difference between people who criticize US policy and those who want to absolutely destroy U.S., work to make its collapse happen, and feel absolute pleasure in seeing Americans fail. hudson.org/politics-gover…

One of the first things George Washington did was fight the Ottomans in Africa but there's this hilariously widespread belief among the America First/libertarian crowd that the founders were super isolationist

Not only did Cronkite do this, he failed to get an updated report about the progress of the Tet offensive before going on the air and stating that "the war may now be unwinnable." Tet was a military disaster for the NVA, resulting in some of their most highly ranked intelligence officials being killed or captured, and a massive amount of HUMINT being found by American and ARVN forces. But that didn't matter to Cronkite, who was too busy trying to get the scoop. Cronkite's words, and the lack of reprimand by CBS, led to a collapse of public support for the war, which then caused a lack of political support and poor decision making about how to conduct the war after. Yet the war dragged on for an additional 5 years (military action) and tens of thousands of Americans paid the price for the media's wrecklessness.
Physics Geek@physicsgeek

They're trying to Tet Offensive the Iran war. For those who don't remember, the Tet Offensive was a military success but Walter Cronkite came on the air and declared it to be a disaster and everyone just believed him.

There are some glaring inaccuracies in this article. The largest is that LNG trains do not use ASUs. Nitrogen is not injected in the LNG product to control heating value; it is removed from the LNG in the end-flash. A small amount of high purity N2 is used in the refrigerant, but the quantities are low, and the N2 is not produced in the LNG trains, but rather in a utility block outside the liquefaction trains. If necessary, N2 can be imported. ASUs and BAHXs will not control the repair time of the LNG trains. The primary cryogenic heat exchangers in the Qatar LNG trains are spiral wound HXs, made in the Honeywell (ex-Air Products) facility in Tampa, Florida. The lead time is not three to four years for HXs that have already been designed, and will be a priority. These SWHE's can be delivered in 2 years if necessary. Where are BAHX's important? In the ASUs for the GTL plant (Pearl). That is correct. Also in the helium separation facility in the LNG trains - can't produce helium without them. But not for LNG production. Why does Qatar say 3 - 5 years for repair of the LNG trains? I have not seen detailed information about the damage, but the most likely issue is that the rotating machinery was damaged - either the mech drive gas turbines, or the compressors. Lead time for GT's is currently extending to 3 years, with all the demand for power generation. x.com/LNGFrankie/sta…

“I am not asking — I am begging.” Big city California mayors were in Sacramento today urging Gov. @GavinNewsom and lawmakers to approve $1 billion for homelessness programs (HHAP)—warning shelters could close without it. Newsom’s budget proposes $500 million. He suggested he’s holding there for now, citing frustration with cities like LA not complying with SB 79, the state law requiring more high-density housing near transit. "You don't build, we're not going to fund," Newsom said. Watch below:

The people who called Bovino weak and ineffective two months ago are now saying Bovino was forced into retirement for being too effective. So many people “on the right” simply deserve to be ruled by leftists forever.

As of yesterday we are now at 1,550 law enforcement agency agreements with ICE. Under Obama, it was less than 100; under Biden it was <150. Anyone who wants Mass Deportations to grow needs to push and promote this program everywhere.
