Update 11:30 am: The barricade was resolved peacefully with one adult male taken into custody. There were no reported injuries in this incident.

Saturday, 3/21/26, at the request of the Seat Pleasant Police Department, the PGPD is assisting with a barricade in the 6100 block of Seat Pleasant Drive. At this time, we are attempting to communicate with an adult male inside of a single-family home. An adult family member is inside of the home as well. This is an isolated incident with no reported  injuries. We will update soon with confirmed information.

Seat Pleasant Drive is currently closed between 70th Place and 71st Avenue.

POLICE ACTIVITY: Police are actively responding to an incident in the 6100 block of Seat Pleasant Drive. Please avoid the area. Residents on Seat Pleasant Drive are asked to remain indoors until further notice. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

We are deeply saddened by the line of duty death of Officer Terry Bennett. An 8-year veteran of @DCPoliceDept, he was struck while assisting a motorist on I-695 on Dec 23. We honor his sacrifice and pray for his family and the MPD. You will never be forgotten.
