The protection of, & respect for, healthcare workers in any conflict zone, has been subjected to more disregard in recent times than I thought possible. The first Geneva Convention was promulgated in 1864, & while today's weapons are so different, the principles at risk are not.

I said this in reference to Trump one year ago. It is playing out in ways none of us really imagined. As his administration's actions become even more outrageous - & where do you start with these abuses of power - I still hold that courage & integrity will ultimately prevail.

Bushfire smoke across #Melbourne & southern Victoria poses serious threats to health, especially if you have heart or lung conditions (eg asthma). Don't exercise outdoors, wear a good mask if you can, and use your medications/seek medical care if you become short of breath.
