Koraput Police

Several Jala Chhatras were inaugurated today across all police stations in the Jeypore Police Sub-Division by the SDPO, Jeypore, for the benefit of the public. The event was attended by local Sarpanchs and Samiti Members.

3 days training on cyber investigation concluded with valedictory session by Resource persons and Koraput district police.

Around 70 officers of different ranks from districts of the SW Range along with DLO, DCPO, CWC Chairperson, members of different NGOs participated in the programme.

A one-day Range Level Conference on the theme “Capacity Building of Police Officers to Facilitate Rescue of Missing Children” was organized on March 13, 2026 at the Auditorium Hall of Koraput Municipality under the supervision of the South Western Range Office.

Koraput District Police busted an interstate Hashish Oil manufacturing unit in a remote jungle near Jholaput Reservoir under Padwa Police Station. Seized: 1800 litres Hashish Oil (Approx ₹200 Cr), 1000+ kg Ganja (₹5 Cr), and manufacturing equipment.

Accd Gopabandhu Khillo(27) has been arrested & seized Ganja–6.2kg, Liquid Ganja/Hashish Oil–1.20 kg,CashRs. 550/.Estimated cost of the seized Liquid Ganja/Hashish Oil is approximately Rs.14 lakhs in connection with Jeypore(T)PS Case No 53/26 dtd 14.02.26,U/S.20(b)(ii)(B)NDPS Act.

This became possible due to Odisha Govt’s new Surrender Policy & ongoing continuous efforts and operations by operational headquarters (ANO).

𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘅𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 1 ACM ranked CPI (Maoist) cadre Mamata Podiami, surrendered before DIG SWR KPT today & returned to the mainstream. This is a great success by Koraput Police.

Jeypore Town Police have secured detention orders against 4 seasoned habitual offenders under Section 129 BNSS for repeated violations of good behaviour bonds. This decisive action reinforces our commitment to public safety, rule of law, and zero tolerance towards crime.

Today on 13.01.2026 Kundra PS staff conducted excise raid at vill- Lima under Kundra PS jurisdiction and detected 130 litters ID liquor, 2500 litters mahua pocha and accused absconded.

On 10.01.26 Machkund PS conducted destruction of cannabis/puppy plants along with Excise, Forest and Revenue Deptt. under Machkund PS jurisdiction & destroyed in 15 Acres. (about 25,000 Plants) in this connection Machkund PS case No. 06/26 has been registered.

Today i.e. on 10.01.26 Padwa PS conducted destruction of cannabis/puppy plants along with Excise, Forest and Revenue Deptt. under Padwa PS jurisdiction & destroyed in 22 Acres. (about 26400 Plants) in this connection Padwa PS case No. 06/26 has been registered.

On 10.1.26 ongoing special drive on drugs & upcoming Pongul festival excise raid conducted led by SDPO Laxmipur & with help of Narayanpatna police at vil-Jaguguda & Almonda area. About 300 ltr of fomented wash destroyed & 60 ltrs of I/Dliquor seized. 2 cases have been registered.

Today i.e. on 08.01.26 Boipariguda PS conducted destruction of cannabis/puppy plants along with Excise, Forest and Revenue Deptt. under Boipariguda PS jurisdiction & destroyed in 15 Acres. (about 18000 Plants) in this connection Boipariguda PS case No. 05/26 has been registered.

On 06.01.26 Padwa PS conducted destruction of cannabis/puppy plants along with Excise, Forest and Revenue Deptt. under Padwa PS jurisdiction & destroyed in 24 Acres. (about 28800 Plants) in this connection Padwa PS case No. 05/26 has been registered.

Today i.e. on 05.01.26 Machkund PS conducted destruction of cannabis/puppy plants along with Excise, Forest and Revenue Deptt. under Machkund PS jurisdiction & destroyed in 20 Acres. (about 26000 Plants) in this connection Machkund PS case No. 04/26 has been registered.

Today i.e. on 31.12.25 Boipariguda PS conducted destruction of cannabis/puppy plants along with Excise, Forest and Revenue Deptt. under Boipariguda PS jurisdiction & destroyed in 12 Acres. (about 14400 Plants) in this connection Boipariguda PS case No. 298/25 has been registered.

Honble Spl Court Jeypore awarded 22years rigorous imprisonment and 40000 fine to the accused Wenka Pidika of Bandhugaon ps case no 75/2025 u/s 65(2) rw Sec4/6 POCSO Act. Chargesheet filed within 7days of the case registration and trail completed within 5months & 18days.
