Keep them from entering the market as a competitor to their business, you mean? That would be monopolistic practices, which are illegal under ancap law. The owner doesn't get to control others

@NSKinsella I'm establishing a clear distinction between those fools and us radical libertarians, lest people get confused when I say the objective age of consent is not arbitrary but individual and dependent on the specific act to be consented to.

@NSKinsella Yeah that's what I'm saying. That barebones system is the legal theory of anarcho-capitalism and the implementation of rights protection that approximates it on a market as things get privatized. I'm saying anyone advocating repeal of age of consent laws instead of this is yikes.

@khrachvik @brettblackham Friedman observed natural experiments and developed an entire framework of understanding the empirical data and using it to test economic theories. He's your ideal economist aside from one who commits unethical experiments by force.

@khrachvik @brettblackham Friedman's entire epistemology was skepticism. You don't know what you're talking about. If you want every economic insight rigorously tested by real world data, Friedman is your guy. I'm more in the Austrian school of things using logic and first principles, but read Friedman.

Then why is it that every time Friedman policies are tried, they fail horribly and lead to abject poverty?

@khrachvik Friedman was wrong on monetary policy and that's about it besides the whole not being an anarchist thing. His policies are almost everywhere applied in mixture with HEAVY government interventions (the opposite of his policies) so idk what you are talking about.
