this is well written and composed and animated but to be quite frank i have never seen anything from this show that has made me want to watch it. are there any compelling characters or developments or is it just abuse abuse abuse the whole time? it just seems like torture porn.

Genuinely one of my favorite performances in an animated show. It is Adult Swim so it’s a given, but something about Scott’s delivery always has me in awe at how raw it feels

@SRAG015 @variedints @AdamasNemesis @Steamlazer He must not have been that strict about it since that era was referenced in pre PT books. The Rogue Squadron books are always fascinating to me with the little bits of lore describing the Jedi order or and Republic.
Like the purposefully itchy robes.

It's considered normal now but no amount of Disney fanservice will ever be as insanely convoluted as "the dad of the Bounty hunter guy from ESB had millions of clones and they're the ones that wiped out the Jedi order after betraying them"

@variedints @AdamasNemesis @Steamlazer In the times before the prequels it had been established that the Clone Wars was the Jedi and the Republic against clones and their clone masters or something like that, but I don't think it was ever properly explained because Lucas forbade people to write about that era

El problema es que se piensa en el "Viaje del héroe" como algo de una vez en la vida y ya.
Y algo mucho más realista es lo que le pasó a Luke, en algún momento se frustró, se retiró. Se le necesita de nuevo. Regresa y salva a todos one last time.

@JUarisen @AdamsBrito1 @hip_trashh Interpretación válida como cualquier otra pero cuando tanto Moore como Bolland dijeron que Batman no mata al Joker al final y que el momento de lucidez que comparten es simplemente por darse cuenta de la situación absura y cíclica en la que estan no hay mucho mas que agregar

Siempre me saca de pedo cuando la gente dice que el final de Killing Joke es bueno porque al no ser canon queda abierto a la interpretación
Pero eso simplemente es falso ya que la historia es explicitamente canon en la continuidad post crisis, tuvo repercusiones en Batman

@JUarisen @hip_trashh La broma del final es literalmente sobre como aunque ambos están locos jamás podrán entenderse del todo y eso hará que sigan luchando para siempre. Batman nunca aceptará que está igual de loco que el Joker y el Joker nunca aceptará la ayuda que le ofrece Batman

@AdamsBrito1 @hip_trashh Puede ser abierto pero hay claras pistas sobre cual es el descenlace. Si prestas atención a la historia, el hecho de que el primer y ultimo panel son iguales y al chiste del final te das cuenta que la interpretación de que Batman mata al Joker no tiene mucho sentido
