After suffering a difficult first-round loss to Calvin Singewald, Vance Barz rallied back through the consolation bracket and took third place in the 126-pound bracket at the 2023 MSHSL Class AA Wrestling State Individual Tournament at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Sauk Rapids-Rice wrestler Vance Barz has picked up back-to-back wins in the 2023 MSHSL Class AA Wrestling State Individual Tournament 126-pound consolation bracket. The Storm star won by 6-4 and 5-2 decisions and will compete in the consolation semifinals later in the day.
