RAF Founders' Day marks the formation of the @RoyalAirForce on 1 April 1918, as the world's first independent air force. In 1919, our president Queen Alexandra suggested that our charity should change its name to the Soldiers', Sailors' & Airmen's Families Association (@SSAFA).
