Cheti Chand is a New Year celebration for Sindhi Hindus which also commemorates the birth anniversary of Sai Jhulelal also known as Uderolal or Dariyalal. Around the 10th century, Sindh came under the rule of a tyrant named Mirkshah who started threatening Sindhi Hindus to either convert to Islam or face death. Sindhis Prayed to the Varuna Deva (Devata of Water) to protect them from this forced conversion. After forty days of worship, Varuna Deva promised them that a divine child would be born in Nasarpur who would save them from Mirkshah. This divine child was born as Uderolal (Jhulelal), the saviour of Sindhis, whose birth anniversary is till today celebrated on Cheti Chand by the Sindhis as Jhulelal Jayanti. India’s New Year does not wait for midnight. It rises with the sun. In Maharashtra, it arrives as Gudi Padwa, a bright flag hoisted to mark new beginnings. In the South, it is Ugadi, where the first taste of neem and jaggery carries the wisdom of life’s sweetness and bite. Manipur welcomes it as Sajibu Cheiraoba. Sindhis celebrate Cheti Chand with prayers to Jhulelal, while in Kashmir, Navreh is greeted by gazing upon a thali of rice, curd, walnuts, and coins, a sacred vision of abundance for the year ahead. One civilization. Many expressions. These festivals are not mere dates on a calendar, they are the heartbeat of a living culture. To know them is to preserve them. To share them is to honour them. To live them is to ensure they never fade. #KnowYourFestival #HinduNavVarsh #NavSamvatsar #ShubhNavratri

Who told you? The colonialists? All regions of India celebrate it but under different names. Vijayanagara empire documents celebration of festival of color (Vasantotsavam). Travelers’ records of Vijayanagara empire describe how people sprayed color from pichkari (spray guns). And many Hoyasala records and Hoyasala temple depictions also show celebration of festival of colors. And these are certainly southern empires.

Just to be clear, Holi is a very regionally specific North Indian festival. Celebrate it but don't make it about 'British Hindus', still less 'British Indians.'

Whole of Shakta Tantra operates on principle of Shakti! Either one has it or one does not. BUT that is also not the complete answer. Getting Shakti to influence others is grace of Devata only! There is the Devata Kataksh also, we divide it into 14 principal parts. Some sadhakas ask for Bhoga, they get it, some ask for wealth, they get it, occasionally some sadhu realises the uselessness of it and ask for Mother herself. If you get the sannidhi of Devata for some time, you are chilled and like a baby getting mother’s milk gets satisfied and sleeps (remember even Shiva had to get that experience from Ma Tara for his burning post Halahala poison… but after that was satisfied. Mother satisfies her bhaktas). Hence stick to basic principles of sadhana and achieve success. Homa as you saw gave you access to this divine experience and increased your faith in the Devata and the practice. Mother can do anything in one Kataksh! Keep calm and do sadhana!

@mmpandit Very true Guruji. The experience came from no where and it was there for few seconds and disappeared. I was not even thinking about you. Was with Maha Ganapathy. Asking him to burn my problems in the Agni. It never happened before.

Fraudulent networks promoting miracle cures continue to influence economically vulnerable families. @sewanyaya is confronting these practices: • Reporting coercive conversion cases to police and authorities • Supporting legal accountability against fraudulent operators • Educating citizens about deception behind miracle-healing claims • Promoting awareness of government healthcare services In Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh, 272 tribal families returned to their indigenous identity during a ceremony attended by 2,000+ people. Gudi Padwa is a spring-time festival that marks the traditional new year for Marathi and Konkani Hindus but is also celebrated by other Hindus. It is observed on the first day of the Chaitra month, to mark the beginning of the new year according to the lunisolar method of the Hindu Calendar. Padwa comes from the Sanskrit word Pratipada, which is the first day of a lunar fortnight. Gudhi means flag, erect flag on the houses as part of the celebration with colourful floor decorations called rangoli, a special Gudhi dvaja (a saree or piece of cloth garlanded with flowers, mango, and neem leaves, sugar crystal garland called gathi, topped with upturned silver or copper vessels), street processions, dancing, and festive foods. Ugadi means 'Beginning of the Year' celebrated as New Year's Day according to the Hindu calendar observed in South Indian regions on the first day of the Hindu luni-solar calendar month of 'Chaitra' The day is observed by drawing colourful patterns on the floor called Muggulu, mango leaf decorations on doors called torana, buying and giving gifts such as new clothes, giving charity to the poor, oil massages followed by special baths, preparing and sharing a special food called Pachadi, and visiting Hindu temples. Ugadi has been an important and historic festival of the Hindus, with medieval texts and inscriptions recording major charitable donations to Hindu temples and community centers on this day. The same day is observed as a New Year by Hindus in many other parts of India, such as Gudi Padwa in Maharashtra and is a national public holiday in Mauritius.
