Most nashville fans were & are genuinely excited for CCC, just like they were for Leagues Cup AND the Open Cup. They want to enjoy themselves while watching their team have natural, unbought success. NSC is about as grassroots as you can get in this league. Might as well enjoy it too.

In reality, Miami scored early & took their foot off the gas. They decided to play possession ball. Then, they had to play catch up once Nashville scored, & Nashville is known for its “Gary Ball” defensive approach. Now, tbf, Nashville should have won the first leg 3-1. They could have won 2-1 last night at minimum if Hany hadn’t missed his shot.

This has been an issue for a while now. Even service for those of us credentialed during MT events is spotty more times than not, specifically in Floyd Stadium at any given time, or inside Murphy Center when more than 3k people are in the building. It’s not cheap to have internet towers built on campus, but as a whole for the university, service needs to be significantly improved.

And not a new experience, either. MTSU might have nostalgia, but they need a technology upgrade badly. Perhaps this tourney needs to move to Clarksville's new arena? (Not a question I ever thought I'd type)

@05ali_s05 @MLSMoves In all honesty, as a Nashville fan, Miami couldn’t come close to NSC until Messi & co. were brought in. Now don’t get me wrong.. it was genius. Messi’s the GOAT. Nashville fans just see their overall success as natural, rather than monetary-based.

Unfortunately, this is the opinion of nearly every fan here. No coach in the country is safe with even 2-3 sub-.500 seasons… let alone being sub-.500 over NINE years… With his quiet extension last season, I don’t see anything changing, but this offseason will be interesting for sure.

McDevitt is 98-71 in years 4 through 8 after being 24-62 in years 1 through 3. For a total of 122-133. You can’t go into year 9 with a sub-.500 coach. He’s had his opportunities. Sure the last 5 years have been better, but how could they have been any worse than those first 3? I still don’t give him a pass for those years. And what he’s done since then isn’t enough to change the calculus. Program needs a fresh start with a coach who will embrace the full job description. This job demands unrelenting grind and salesmanship. He hasn’t delivered
