Merrimack's Max Lundgren's first shutout of 2025-26 (24 saves vs UMass) was the first in a Hockey East semifinal since Connor Hellebuyck of UMass Lowell (20 saves vs Notre Dame in 2014) 😳 And the Bruins already invited him to Dev. camp 🏕️

Merrimack becomes the lowest seed to make the Hockey East final as the #8 seed. This is the second time a team knocked off the #1 and #2 seeds en route to the final.

In Merrimack’s 30+ year history in hockey east they have only made the semi finals at the TD Garden four times. Two of those appearances have come in the last four years under coach Scott Borek, in 2022-23 and this season.
