The MAC’s deal with Sacramento State - now officially announced - is a 5-year agreement in which the school will take no conference distribution, cover air travel costs of visiting MAC teams and pay $6 million of the $18 million entry fee in Year 1, sources tell @YahooSports.

For Tulsa to win the conference outright, they would need to truly outperform in February (Toughest stretch in conference play) and so far TU is 2-0.

I really don’t get why all these schools without great success at the FCS level want to move up (I know you’ll say money, but costs are higher at the FBS level)
Not sure why there can’t be standards you need to hit before moving up. JMU, Marshall, App State, and GSU did it right

NEWS: The WAC has filed suit against Utah Valley University “to pay a contractually obligated exit fee in the amount of $1,000,000.00,” which the lawsuit says Utah Valley has refused to pay. Utah Valley is headed to the Big West effective July 1 of 2026.
