@willgtg901 @RoccoMiller8 Yes and no. It really depends on the draw. Memphis got a favorable one with playing UNT and Tulane once while UAB has the tougher draw having FAU, UNT, Memphis, USF and Tulane twice.

As you will see here, AAC added more of a regional component this season for home-and-home pairings.
A year ago, the unbalanced schedule was designed and weighted by preseason forecasting, which assisted South Florida and Charlotte's special runs with favorable matchups.

UNOFFICIALLY, this looks to be UAB MBB’s MTE for the 2024-25 basketball season.
Much tougher field than previous MTEs. McNeese, Liberty, K-State and McNeese would all be good for the OOC. Wouldn’t mind some NET manipulation with ISU or GWU either. 2 teams still TBA.

That’s a big slam dunk hire for FAU, grabbing one of the best assistant coaches in college basketball.
To put into perspective how good this hire is: Grant McCasland and Jerome Tang are 2 of several former assistants under Drew at Baylor who have proven to win at the HC level.

This is good news for the AAC. Lanier has been a solid coach in his first 2 years with SMU. Hopefully he can bring some relevancy to Rice.

I am scared for the overall landscape of the AAC next season.
Yes USF, Charlotte are trending up towards the top with UAB and Memphis, but losing FAU's relevancy potentially and SMU to the ACC hurts.
