Bird Box Update! Recently we noticed some new eggs - 7 to be precise!  We waited and on Monday morning we had a lovely surprise - some of the eggs had hatched.  We'e already been able to watch the parents feeding their chicks and look forward to seeing them grow. #SSPP #Science

Happy St George's Day! Did you know? - St George is truly an international saint and England is not the only country or region to claim him as its patron. England shares him with Venice, Genoa, Portugal, Ethiopia and Catalonia among others as their patron saint. #SSPP

We’re about to make a potion which will brew up a good friend. The first choice of ingredient is ‘funny’ - a good quality to find in a friend, making people laugh. #SSPP

It’s the start of a new PSHE Jigsaw topic. This term sees us focus on ‘Relationships’. We have begun with a quick recap on the topics so far this year. #SSPP

In a busy final week of the Spring Term, Year 3 had a great day at Colchester Castle to consolidate all of their learning about Roman Britain, Boudica and the Celts. #SSPP

For the first time, it is Year 5 leading our annual re-telling of Jesus’ passion - The Stations of the Cross. We are hearing how Jesus went willingly to his death, knowing the role he had to play in God’s Redemptive Plan. #SSPP

After our string quartet last week, we have more music teachers visiting today to talk in detail about the cello. The assembly has started with information about the violin. #SSPP

An afternoon treat today to have players from @RMusicService string quartet playing for us. Music is such an important part of the SSPP community and it is so lovely to hear it live. #SSPP

Year 6 have been investigating thematic maps today. As well as answering key questions about what data was being shown, they were asked to feedback their findings to a larger group, helping them to practise their oracy skills too. #SSPP #Geography #Year6

Dr Bike, the mechanic, will be visiting our school on Tuesday 10th March. SSPP Parents - if you would like to have your child’s bike checked, please leave it in the school bike shelter in the morning. This service is completely free!

As we celebrate the wonder of reading on #WorldBookDay2026, staff, as always, have entered into the spirit of the day. Our theme this year of Different Minds, One Great Story' has seen us pick book characters we identify with! #SSPP

Although we were not in school for the reflective day of Ash Wednesday, our pupils are being made aware that we're now in the solemn period of Lent, with many talking about things they have given up. This has been echoed by many of our pupils who are observing Ramadan also. #SSPP

A healthy body can help with a healthy mind. Children at SSPP have access to playground gyms in both Key Stages. #SSPP

It seemed fitting to end our assembly with an AI generated prayer on #SaferInternetDay. Mr O’Connor has given the children plenty of points to think about with regards to the use and ethics of AI. #InternetSafetyDay

We, like so many, are focussing on #InternetSafetyDay today. Children are recalling messages from previous years including recognising scams from last year. This year, AI is the rapidly developing area that we are hearing about. #SSPP

It is always lovely to share acknowledgement from beyond the school's doors which praises the work carried out here by staff and those parents who support from home. #SSPP
