Mega carp holes in the bottom of an ongrowing pond @vsfisheries This pair were about 8 foot across and 2 foot deep. These are created by the feeding activity of the Carp and also their rubbing on the bottom to shift irritating parasites #happyfishfarmer

Normally food and water quality will limit the size they reach in a garden pond. Build very big filters and you can grow big fish in your garden !!!

@SScottFish Simon I’m building myself a garden pond over the winter, As a keen carp angler I would love to put some small commons and mirrors in it but I’m worried they’ll out grow the pond, would they only grow to the size of the environment which is true with most fish?
