Today @allistonunion @scdsbSL campers invited their families to show off their learning! We have all learned so much over the last two weeks! We definitely have many creative, passionate, talented and knowledgeable students leading us to a greater future!

STEAM Challenge: Eggs are going skydiving today at @PsConnaught! The @scdsbSL campers used found material in their classroom to build a safety device for their yolk friends! It was an eggcellent challenge! @SCDSB_Schools

Day 8 of STEAM Camp @allistonunion @scdsbSL Students created a Rube Goldberg machine today~an invention using a chain reaction to accomplish a simple task. So amazing to see students test & retest their invention-incredible perseverance & grit! STEAM Showcase tomorrow @ 1:45pm

STEAM Challenge #7: Build a device that can safely transport an egg to the ground when dropped from a height. Today at @allistonunion, eggs went skydiving!! The @scdsbSL students built “armour” for their yolk friends to safely land! Will they survive the flight? @SCDSB_Schools

Day 7 of STEAM Camp @allistonunion @scdsbSL So much excitement today as students participated in the Egg Drop Challenge! Using found materials, students designed a container to insulate & protect an egg from being dropped from the 3rd floor. Incredible creativity & engineering!

Day 6 of STEAM Camp @allistonunion @scdsbSL Students today saved us all from Dr. Johnson’s evil plan to release a zombie virus in Breakout EDU! Congrats for solving the many riddles! Gr. 6/7/8 students took the Secret Pattern Challenge, extending patterns and adding a constant.

Day 2 of STEAM Camp @allistonunion @scdsbSL Students were challenged today to engineer a device to pick up or move an object. Students used robotics, coding, Strawbees, & other found materials to make their creations. Lots of rich Math Talk encouraged in the math challenge!❤️Math
