We love using our @ReallyGreatRead student kits! We practiced building words using both trigraphs -tch and -dge!

Today we used our think, pair, share protocol to discuss and recall key details from our text!

These brilliant first graders read to kindergarten buddies! They loved being able to ask the kindergarteners questions about the books!

We practiced writing sentences using strong emotions, while using exclamation marks at the end! We used our think-pair-share learning strategy to discuss what our sentence’s stated and why an exclamation point was correct punctuation. #FutureAuthors #FirstGradeFun

We are using strategies like count on and combinations of 10 to solve equations with three addends!

We explored a pumpkin using our 5 senses! We then worked together as a class to count the seeds (over 400)🎃

Using collaboration to solve word problems. These 1st graders worked together and discussed strategies to solve the problem and show their work! They then strengthened their listening/ speaking skills by sharing their work with the rest of the class!
