@vincentcuratola People are dying around the world in an alarming rate. Elderly in Italy are left to die because they have no beds. China economy crashes. Malaysia (my country) in lockdown for 2 weeks starting tomorrow. I seriously don't think this is all just to "make the president look bad"

The ad’s intent (& understanding by its consumer base): this hand sanitizer doesn’t have intoxicating drinks as an ingredient. It’s only inaccurate in lack of knowledge.

@Sharrif @maimaimai95 Hi mate. Not sure if you've missed the memo but "people who are not privileged" is exactly the reason why anyone manufacturing / distributing medical products MUST provide accurate information. Their info was wrong. Hence why they should be criticised heavily.

@SSgooner @maimaimai95 Please check your privilege. I am done wasting my time talking with someone who refuses to see how people may not be as privileged as they are in their knowledge base, and whose first reaction is to condemn, judge, punish, and attack instead of educate. Have a good day.

@Sharrif @maimaimai95 Why do you keep saying we are diverting or talking in circles? We are not. This is relevant discussion. Trust me. The harsher the lesson, the better the improvement. At least they'll keep that in mind at all times.

@Sharrif @maimaimai95 That doesn't mean it's right. If they were selling cyanide pills and saying that these pills are good for health, what about that then? As per your comment I'm sure only a handful of Malaysians even know what cyanide is. This is why we have very strict guidelines for medical.

@SSgooner @maimaimai95 By considering it basic & saying “they should know this” IS implicitly saying that they’re incompetent or stupid. Remember, the majority of Malaysians didn’t take Science streams & didn’t learn Chemistry. The “alcohol” is understood as “intoxicants”. So its not cheating to them.

@Sharrif @maimaimai95 Selling product with false information is a form of cheating, no? Nobody is treating them with incompetence or unintelligence, but this should be a lesson to them. This is basic thing.

@SSgooner @maimaimai95 The first thing to do is not to treat them as incompetent and unintelligent, but to treat them with respect while we correct them. A lot of them truly do not realize their mistake. I think the discussion is veering away; how would it cheat consumers when it works as advertised?
