STEER for Student Athletes

The Unified team is a great example of what teamwork and inclusion should look like. Steer students proudly participated in partnership with the Pioneer League, showing not just effort and competition, but real unity, support, and sportsmanship!

Dariel Pichardo competed at the Penn Relays and finished in 7th place! Truly something to be proud of. Here’s a great shot of him with Olympic gold medalist Carl Lewis, along with another picture of him and fellow STEER Student Athlete Brayden Richardson!

Laila Builes worked all year to come back from ACL surgery and got cleared just before the postseason. She went on to win her second Section Championship. An early injury in the state finals stopped the repeat, but as a sophomore, she’s just getting started. The future is bright!

Proud to see our STEER student-athletes from The Charter School of Educational Excellence and Port Chester High School pushing each other in a great softball scrimmage. Wishing both teams a strong and successful season ahead! 🔥 🥎

Congrats to Dariel and Brayden on finishing 5th and 7th overall respectively in Long Jump this past Saturday at the NYSPHSAA Indoor Championships. We are very proud of you both. Your hard work and dedication continue to show every time you compete. Keep it going 🔥

Four Sleepy Hollow STEER student athletes were recognized at the state level.Brayden Richardson & Gilbert Onwe were named 1st Team All State, Abel Perez Rosario was named 2nd Team All State, and Jeremiah Bowen was named All State Honorable Mention. We are so proud of you! #STEER
