‼️ NEW FACEBOOK PAGE ‼️ Recently, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) implemented more AI into their content moderation and safety, which has resulted in mass bans and suspensions of accounts across the world. Unfortatnely, my personal account was impacted by this which has resulted in issues with my Facebook page St. Louis Storm Chaser. Countless people on Reddit and Twitter have been dealing with this issue for the last several weeks, where media across the world are starting to cover this problem. A few people are starting to get lawyers involved to sue Meta as this has impacted people that run their businesses through Facebook and Instagram. msn.com/en-us/news/tec… I ran the Facebook page St. Louis Storm Chaser for 14 years and recently surpassed 19k followers. It has been extremely frustrating and a punch in the gut to have issues with a page I ran for so long and got it to where it's at now. I have been trying to do everything I can over the last few weeks, but issues with my page and personal account continues. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for areas south of St. Louis. Hail and damaging wind gusts will be the threats with any of the stronger storms.

Rain is likely across the area this afternoon into tonight with some embedded thunderstorms possible as well. Many of us should see a quarter inch to an inch of rainfall with some higher amounts possible especially for those that do see thunderstorms. Organized severe weather like we saw yesterday is not expected. #stlwx

Rotation continues to weaken east of Carlyle, IL with no debris signature right now, but strong winds and hail remain a threat.

A reliable chaser is reporting damage to trees, houses and powerlines in Germantown, IL.

This is a PDS Tornado Warning for Carlyle as a damaging tornado is likely moving into town now.

Likely tornado in progress just southeast of Breese headed toward Beckemeyer/Carlyle in Illinos.

We may have a tornado in progress just south of Trenton, Illinois. Seeing debris on the CC with a reliable chaser reporting a cone tornado in progress.

New Tornado Warning for far eastern St. Clair County into Clinton County. Area of rotation is located just south of Lebanon moving east towards the Breese area.

The Tornado Warnings around the immediate metro have been allowed to expire. Seeing reports of quarter sized to two inch hail with the storms in Madison County, IL.

A new Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for the metro east as this line of storms continues to push east. Quarter sized hail (isolated larger) and 70mph wind gusts will be possible.

Fortunately, it appears this storm is slowly losing strength as it moves closer to the river.

The severe thunderstorm warning for the storm that is moving toward the western metro has been upgraded to include golf ball sized hail and 70mph wind gust potential.
