Congratulations to Nancy L in Y7, who was the winner of 10A'S Lenten raffle. Well done to all in 10A who managed to raise £124 in total in their fundraising efforts. Thank you to all who donated eggs and bought raffle tickets.

The Book Fair is bringing a buzz of reading across our school. The stall is running before & after school. Some of our top Sparx readers (including Libby in Yr8) were given a £5 voucher towards a book. The book fair will be running during Yr7 Parents' Evening tonight - cash only!

Well done to 9S who smashed it, and raised £146.29 in their Lenten Charity Bake Sale for the Christie! Amazing Charity Work!

7T are holding a stall on Friday 20th March selling cupcakes, brownies, hair bows and much more! Please come and see us at break! All proceeds go to the Christie.

Congratulations to the Y7 netball team, who today won the Y7 Tameside Cup. They played Mossley Hollins and St Damian's in the triangular final, with two wins of 20-10 and 19-7. It was great to see new girls to the sport playing alongside experienced club players. #thisgirlcan

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR It's here! The books have been given the St Thomas More Newsletter Team seal of approval. Students are invited to visit the book fair before & after school this week. Please remember: it is a cash only. The fair will also be open at Yr 7 Parents' Evening

Drama! Last week Yr10 and 11 GCSE Drama students took part in a Promenade Theatre Workshop and watched a fabulous performance of 'Road' By Jim Cartwright at The Royal Exchange Theatre. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and were a credit to the school as always.

CAREER OF THE WEEK This week's featured career is a Business Development Manager! Read the poster, scan the QR code or attend the Careers Cafe in room 42 each Tuesday after school in room 42 to access support around careers and your post-16 aspirations.

On Friday our school was buzzing with the digits of Pi! Students created amazing masterpieces to share with staff Maths lessons throughout the day were dedicated to Pi Day, giving students the chance to explore and learn more about this marvellous number. Happy Pi Day!
