@Gottscream @ShiinaBR That's missing the point. User engagement was probably stronger with exclusive passes because they were exclusive with no chance of coming back... the game offered more merit. Now, they're turning into followers.

Epic Games will have a company meeting tomorrow to discuss the roadmap for Fortnite and Epic
Tim Sweeney said Fortnite now needs fresh seasons, gameplay, story, and live events. The next generation of Epic Games is planned to start at the end of the year with "huge launch plans"

I believe one of the main causes was taking away merit from the pass. Late 2024 was when they announced pass skins could come back 18 months later. After that, I personally didn't care as much about getting everything.

Why cancel Fortnite Crew?
Crew subscription revenue is something Epic can visually predict on a monthly basis based on current active subs
If they suddenly see a huge dip in subscribers, it could raise eyebrows
It seems like the quickest way to get their attention
