STPI Commendation Award Bestowed Upon Shri B. V. Naidu STPI proudly honours Shri B. V. Naidu, Chairman, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), GoK, with the STPI Commendation Award for his visionary leadership and lifelong service to India's IT and digital economy. 🏆💡 Shri B.V. Naidu has been recognised for his pioneering and transformative contributions to India's software, electronics and digital technology ecosystem. 🔶 About Shri BV Naidu: Beginning his career as a scientist in the Department of Electronics, he was a key member of the ERNET initiative that established India's first email network and Internet node-historic milestones that laid the foundation for the nation's digital era. As Director, STPI Bangalore & Hyderabad, Shri Naidu introduced several first-of-its-kind initiatives, including India's first International Digital Gateway, enabling the country's earliest commercial Internet access and video conference. His leadership significantly accelerated software exports, strengthened the technology ecosystem, expanded STPI centres to Tier-II cities and contributed to Karnataka's first IT Policy. As Chairman of the India Electronics & Semiconductor Association (IESA), he led national efforts to promote the ESDM sector and chaired the Task Force that contributed to the formulation of the National Electronics Policy, strengthening India's semiconductor and electronics design vision.
