Sorry Keir, but as someone who has a #stammer, who therefore cannot speak fluently, but is rather thriving in life (if I may say so myself) I couldn’t disagree more. By all means, encourage children to express themselves, but do not use “fluency” as an aim.

@Keir_Starmer says that the “inability to articulate your thoughts fluently is a key barrier to thriving in life". Therefore, should he win the next election, he will introduce oracy lessons for children…
