@STWDraycote The film was similar to yours with a female Mallard leading 8 chicks to water. The last one in the line was completely white.

An uplifting start to Saturday as 11, yes 11, newly hatched ducklings are escorted from the car park to the water. Many thanks to the various visitors who 'removed' themselves from the route during this complex operation!

@lines_norman White ducks tend to be domesticated or hybrids? (not able to look at your film due to cyber security).

Week three of 'orchidwatch' here. And we have.......Bee Orchids!

Another week, another orchid! This time a Pyramidal Orchid in amongst the Yellow Rattle.

Great to see some Common Spotted Orchids making an appearance!

If you ever wondered what 'baby conkers' look like.........cute eh?

@GazBarnes89 Nothing can be guaranteed but I think the peak time for the midges has passed. It does depend on temperature and weather though.

@STWDraycote are there still loads of flies swarming around the reservoir path? Hoped to come for a run Monday

@danny_chimp Yes! The top path is open for pedestrians and cyclists.

ROAD CLOSURE! In case you are not aware, the road from Dunchurch to Draycote Water remains closed this weekend. The site and facilities are open as usual but you will need to approach from the Southam direction and go through Kites Hardwick to get here. Weather should be nice!

@Danielf0975 I'm afraid not. You can walk most of the way around but have to come back the same way. The latest date for re-opening that section is March 2024.

@STWDraycote have the walkways all been completed yet ? Is it possible to walk the full loop ?
