A conversation between T.J. DeCaire and Conner Jones, and then DeCaire’s thoughts on the closing laps. He felt like passing cars was easy but restart mistakes cost him in the end.

P3 in the Pro Late Model for Conner Jones. He was fast on the bottom in the closing laps. He also doesn’t understand T.J. DeCaire’s frustration with their late race battle.

PLM pole sitter Luke Baldwin comes home p4 after a dominant run early. A missed shift on a restart cost him the lead. He says he knows better than to make that mistake, and feels this is the second of these races he’s let get away at NWB.

Kaden Honeycutt sweeps yet another CARS Tour weekend, this time at North Wilkesboro. He battled the heat for a pair of wins, and had no clue Layne Riggs was even dressed and ready to go. Not racing the LMSC never crossed his mind.

Barry Nelson’s team won $10,000 tonight, thanks to the Flodium bonus and Corey Heim’s p2 run.

Jesse Love fought an uphill battle all night, and respects the competitive nature of the CARS Tour. Additionally, his takeaway is learning a new skillset, and adding to his arsenal inside the racecar. P26 for the defending O’Riley champ.

Jake Bollman comes home p3 at North Wilkesboro. He’s happy to have been racing and learning around the likes of Kaden Honeycutt and Corey Heim, and feels like this is his best season of racing yet.

Brenden Queen picks up a top five in his first CARS Tour race at North Wilkesboro since ‘23. He said fought too free for the first half of the race, and had to play too much defense.

Corey Heim needed a late race mistake from Kaden Honeycutt to catch the 17. He didn’t get one, and comes home p2 with the $10k Flodium bonus.

Connor Hall brings the Niece car home 4th at North Wilkesboro. He got to tight at the end. Also mentioned he’s pushing for more truck starts in the second half of this year.

This late model stuff is fun. That’s what Carson Kvapil said anyway. He said the crew chief (himself) set the car up a bit too free, and ended up p6. He also talked about the heat and reminiscing on his late model days while being thankful to be O’Riley racing.
