He may have had the funds available before sure, but that doesn't mean he had that amount available to spend on a house.
That is unless you know you've got a top-up coming. So the point still stands in that you wouldn't have bought this house, for that much, without the 5 million donation.
Ive got enough money to go and buy a nice new car - it'll dent my savings and not leave me anything else for emergencies - but I wont. Because while I may have it, my networth and my available safe to spend money are not the same.
It's a shame that what is quite clearly a great British mind is instead being used to peddle hatred for the sake of power

I make good money because I done an undergraduate and a masters degree.
Im paying effectively over 50% in deductions each month.
My loan balance is too high with the interest rates so im not even scratching the surface after hundreds a month. Do you not agree that charging interest to the point where the loan principle doubles is unsustainable?
Also my friends a sparky too - Uni students may have been on the piss up for a few years but anyone on a site is on the packet for life 😂
