On Tuesday, Tom Horton’s Summer 2022 Kayak Class (and friends) met for a reunion. 🛶😁🫂 Sound like fun? This six-week course will be running again in Summer of 2024 so mark your calanders and make sure to enroll! 🤗

Their finished product will be airing on Friday, May 16 at 12PM on WEDM 91.3FM and WSDL 90.7FM (also linked on the DPM website).

Yesterday, the two ENVR Senior Seminar classes gave their capstone presentations. 👏 The first partnered with the Chesapeake Bay Program. 🤝 The secondarily partnered with Delmarva Public Media to create an audiodocumentary. Afterward, seniors, faculty, and friends celebrated.

It was such an honor to welcome Denzel Mitchell Jr. to our campus last night. As the Co-Executive Director of the Farm Alliance of Baltimore, Denzel was well-equipped to teach the audience about urban agriculture and food sovereignty in Baltimore. 🌾🌆🥬🌞

Professor Bunting took members of the Environment and Sustainability LLC strawberry picking last week! They discussed the impacts of eating locally and supporting small farms, saw examples of cover crops, and enjoyed buckets of freshly picked, in-season berries!

Over the weekend, ENVR students, faculty, and friends enjoyed a moonlit kayak outting. 🌙🛶 They launched from the Nanticoke River House and paddled about five miles under the stars. ✨ Stay tuned for our next trip! 😊

Yesterday, we hosted GreenFest, our annual end-of-the-year celebration for any and all students who love the planet! Students, faculty, family, and friends enjoyed music, games, food, upcycling crafts, and more. Huge thanks to everyone who was a part of this incredible event!

Last night, we hosted the last of the Spring 2023 ENVR Colloquium Series, entitled: "Decolonial Environmentalisms: On How Latinx Science Fiction Expands Environmental Justice" 👏 We heard from Dr. David Vázquez (program director of Latinx studies at American University).

We are so happy to have such an incredible campus community! 💚 Last night, we celebrated our last Pre-Colloquium Happy Hour with card games, food, drinks, and excellent company. Thanks to everyone who came out and we can't wait to continue this tradition in the Fall!! 👏🎉 🤝🍟
