At SUN, we foster a living learning environment - it’s not just about formal learning, but about what we gain from each other and our environment. This week, we’re recognising the power of learning as a continuous, shared experience across our community.

A reminder for our membership that SUN is closed on bank holidays and therefore we will not be running the group on the 25th of May in Merstham. The schedule will return to normal the following day.

Yesterday evening, Mary Francis Trust were awarded the Bronze award at the Surrey and Borders Partnership Annual Staff Awards for Involvement and Contribution for their work within SUN. Well done guys!🎉

It's BPD Awareness Month Facilitated peer support offers connection, understanding, and a sense of not being alone—something that can be incredibly powerful when navigating these challenges. This Month, we continue to stand alongside those on their journey.

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week 💛 Peer support brings people together in a way that reduces isolation and builds connection through shared understanding. This week is a reminder that support matters, connection matters, and conversations about mental health matter.

As I go on maternity leave, I wanted to take a moment to say a (temporary!) goodbye💛 Being part of the SUN community has been such a meaningful experience for me. know SUN will continue to be the supportive, empowering space that many people value. Take care and see you soon✨

A huge well done to our amazing team members who represented SUN so brilliantly on live radio yesterday! One of the team alongside a member of the service spoke powerfully about BPD awareness and the vital role SUN plays in supporting people every day. We are beyond proud!

SUN Notice! Please be aware that on the 8th of May our Epsom Face to Face SUN Group will be replaced with an online group due to the venue hosting events for local elections. The online group will take place at 11AM-13:30 and if you wish to book, please reach out to SUN admin.

🌟 Join us on Thursday 7th May! From 10:00–11:00am, we’re holding our Community Meeting After that, from 11:15–12:00, we’ll be running a Focus Group to hear member voices about our virtual event to help us refresh our presentation. We hope you’ll join us. 🌟

We talk about SUN as a living & learning environment—But that doesn’t just apply to the members—it applies to us as a team too! This week, our team took part in cultural competence and bias training so we could reflect, learn, & continue to develop professionally & personally

Thank you to all the members who joined our Evening Mocktail & Charcuterie SUN Social last Tuesday evening. Socials are a great chance for our members & facilitators to come together outside of our support groups & harness the community feeling that we embrace within the service!
