@samfancindyg It think many people feel the same way about seeing the positives that were found through the show.
Though, I must say, I would have chosen to have had no season 8 rather than a terrible season 8.
Lasting impressions are a tough one to be rid of, as their name implies.

Prediction:
Much to all our dismay & against the vitality of the books, Jamie & Claire won’t be there for what occurs at the shop.
Instead, they’re gonna have Jamie’s dream allude that he knows/feels something happened, bc they’re gonna incorporate his *dreams* in the end.

Two years ago I was at the gym, doing a lift I had done hundreds, maybe thousands of times before. Just two days earlier I had a new PR, reaching elite status for a non-professional.
Then with the last rep, I heard a crack. Thinking it was my bar that had snapped (but knowing that was impossible) I walked back into the rack and offloaded my bar and weights. At that moment I understand I was injured.
As I made my way to Urgent Care, it never once occurred to me that I had broken my neck. But I did.
And once the dust settled and I understood the extent of my injury and recovery, I just forged ahead and did what I needed to do. One day at a time.
Oh there were times when I was scared, unsure of what lay ahead. But the love and laughter of a kindred friend made every day easier.
So here I am, two years later, feeling sparkly and strong. And so deeply blessed. For the most part, this is just something that happened in the past and I’m only rarely troubled by the injury.
Compared to the life-altering accidents and illnesses many people face, this was just a passing blip on the radar. Nevertheless, I am grateful for my recovery. And for all of you. Even though you didn’t know it, you were there with me as I walked the path✨💖🫶🏽

Each year we celebrate Sam Heughan's birthday by raising funds for causes close to his heart. Given that the story of Outlander and Sam's portrayal of Jamie Fraser has had such a profound impact on so many of our lives, and of Scotland itself, the National Trust for Scotland, the Culloden Fighting Fund, has been selected as this year's birthday fundraiser recipient. "The battlefield is a powerfully emotive place, and it’s rare for a landscape of this age to be so relatively intact. The National Trust for Scotland has been acquiring and caring for parts of the battlefield since 1937. But the field of battle and the views that surround it are increasingly under threat from development, and we must work harder each day to protect its sense of place. The site cared for by the National Trust for Scotland covers only a third of the actual battleground. It sits within a cultural landscape which is owned by many different people and private organisations. It’s the field of battle itself and the views that surround the site that give it a sense of place. Over the past 10 years, Inverness has become one of the fastest growing cities in Europe, putting agricultural land in the Culloden area under increasing pressure from development. The integrity of the whole site is currently under threat from piecemeal decision-making, unclear guidance and a lack of focused resource. Without integrated planning, stronger support and a holistic response to the problem, it’s likely that the cultural landscape surrounding the battlefield will be lost. The NTS have opposed multiple planning applications, including a proposal right beside the battlefield to convert Treetops Equestrian Centre into a leisure resort with 13 lodges, restaurant and shop. We welcomed the Highland Council’s decision to deny planning permission, resulting in the protection of the wider historic battlefield. Action is needed now because the number of planning applications is likely to increase. A donation to Culloden’s Fighting Fund will help us work towards a collaborative approach to managing the battlefield and protecting the site for future generations." Another warm day here in coastal Cal. I took a long walk in the park and along the beach promenade.
Here are a few of the bison of Golden Gate Park. Though their paddock is 11 acres, today they came within a few feet of the fencing. There are currently 10 of them.
