This American defense attorney may not be far from truth.

I have dispatched a Presidential Delegation to Abidjan to stand with our superlative D’Tigress as they pursue a fifth consecutive AfroBasket title for Nigeria. #MissionV Led by the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko, this team of senior government officials represents the full weight of our national pride, belief, and support. Our girls have shown character, discipline, and the Nigerian spirit in every game. As they prepare for the final in two hours, we stand behind them - not just as fans, but as a grateful nation inspired by their excellence. Go for gold. Go for glory, girls! 🇳🇬 ~ President Bola Ahmed Tinubu #DTigress #AfroBasket2025 #NigeriaRising #RenewedHopeInSports @ShehuDikko @ImmaculateIman @hanneymusawa @DrDorisAnite @SundayDareSD @otegaogra @KukoyiBusola

"If politicians don't get what they want, they're ready to collapse the system…they are only concerned about their personal interest, not that of the country or even their party…” - Mallam Nasir el-Rufai's prophecy about himself has come to pass. Good afternoon, Area Boys

@Imranmuhdz ECOWAS should forget those 3 countries and move on. We all know the military doesn't listen except their codes and decrees. Apparently their countries are rising economically every day.

ECOWAS has given Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger a period of six months, from January 29 to July 29, 2025, to reassess their choice to withdraw from the regional organization. On Sunday in Abuja, during the 66th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Heads of State and Government, Dr. Omar Touray, the President of the ECOWAS Commission, declared a six-month grace period. He said, "The Authority takes note of the notification by the Republic of Burkina Faso, Republic of Mali and Republic of Niger of their decision to withdraw from ECOWAS. "The Authority acknowledges that by the provisions of Article 91 of the revised ECOWAS Treaty, the three countries will officially cease to be members of ECOWAS from January 29, 2025. "The Authority decides to set the period from January 29, 2025 to July 29, 2025, as a transitional period and to keep ECOWAS doors open to the three countries during the transition period. "In this regard, the Authority extends the mandate of the President of Togo and the President of Senegal to continue their mediation role up to the end of the transition period to bring the three member countries back to ECOWAS. "Without prejudice to the spirit of the opening, the Authority directs the President of the Commission to launch withdrawal formalities after the end of the deadline of January 29 2025 and to draw up a contingency plan covering various areas. "The Authority directs the Council of Ministers to convene an Extraordinary Session during the 2nd quarter of 2025 to consider and adopt both separation modalities and the contingency plan covering political and economic relations between ECOWAS and the Republic of Niger, Republic of Mali and Burkina Faso.“

I anticipated this trip a few days ago. It was clear that BAT would move on from France to another destination, preferring the comfort of his newly acquired luxurious jet over staying in the country to address the pressing issues of hardship and hunger. True leadership requires being present, setting the right priorities, and leading by example. If this trip was necessary, a senior minister could have easily represented him. While in France, he acknowledged the hunger crisis but failed to outline any solutions. Meanwhile, NNPC has given us what seems to be misleading news about celebrating a non-functional refinery. BAT is indeed making waves—though not necessarily the kind we need.

STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT TINUBU TO CO-CHAIR 11TH SESSION OF THE BI-NATIONAL COMMISSION WITH PRESIDENT RAMAPHOSA   President Bola Tinubu will leave France on Monday for Cape Town, South Africa, to co-chair the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission alongside President Cyril Ramaphosa.   The presidential BNC, scheduled for Tuesday, December 3, will be preceded by a ministerial meeting on December 2, 2024, at the South African Parliament Building in Cape Town.   President Tinubu and President Ramaphosa will engage in substantive talks on a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including bilateral, regional and international matters.   Building on the commitments from their June 20, 2024, meeting in Johannesburg shortly after President Ramaphosa's inauguration for a second term in office, the two leaders will review the progress achieved since the 10th session of the BNC held in Abuja from November 29 to December 1, 2021.   The 11th session of the BNC will feature deliberations across eight working groups, each focusing on a specific area of mutual interest. These include political consultations, consular and migration, banking and finance, defence and security, manufacturing, social sector,  mines and energy, and trade and investments.   At the high-level meeting, officials of both countries will sign several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements.   The Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission was established in 1999 to further strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.   The first session at the Heads of State level was held in  October 2019 in Pretoria.   The BNC provides a platform for sustaining high-level dialogue and promoting cooperation in critical areas such as diplomacy, economy, trade, security and other areas of mutual interest.   This year's meeting is particularly significant as it coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Commission, a testament to the enduring friendship and cooperation between Nigeria and South Africa.   President Tinubu will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising state governors, ministers, and senior government officials,     He will return to the country after the BNC meeting.   Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy) December 1, 2024
