The 3rd Meeting of the Working Group on Fisheries Socioeconomics of the SWIOFC concluded on 27 February 2026, in Maputo, 🇲🇿. Participants reviewed achievements, finalized inputs for the Scientific Committee and closed a productive workshop on fisheries socio-economic analysis.

The National Project Steering Committee concludes on 20 February 2026, in Maputo, with approval of progress reports, revised workplan & budget, and strengthened coordination to accelerate implementation under the SWIOFC–Nairobi Convention Partnership (Phase 2).

Day 2 focuses on fisheries management using Ecosystemic Approach to Fisheries and livelihoods options, reviewing progress of the activities and implementation of the agreements under the SWIOFC–Nairobi Convention Partnership (Phase 2).
