Anyone else have a new @JohnDeere HSD made by Norwood sales and think they are junk compared to last years 2680H? Frame looks way heavier but this thing flexes and bounces at anything over 3” depth. Dirt buildup and plugging is a big issue too. Would not recommend.

@ksufearless @MattM_NE I have a used night ride, only used it twice. Would sell reasonable

@StevenL03030936 @SWKellogg Yes it’s not the bins I struggle with it’s the dryer leg dump etc lol
English

@StevenL03030936 @Bkitch1Bodie Yes it is worth it. Don’t put on dp, do a basis contract.
English

@SWKellogg @Bkitch1Bodie Our basis in south central IN was-.53 during harvest now it is -.08 w a .28 dump charge just to dp the corn plus monthly charge so you tell me if it’s worth owning bins?
English

@SWKellogg You cutting those beans super ripe and dry? Or a touch green? .. we will get at ours a touch green and dry them .. can be tough to crack and clean out small pods
English

@MdMcLean1 Deff tough, now if you get along a woods and you shouldn’t be cutting them then you get a few pods. But he sells rotor pucks to cure that also. Lol
English

@MdMcLean1 Ran 2660 and 2680 last fall. We liked the 2680 better for heavy residue. Sizes and Buries it better than the 2660.

@SWKellogg @bprofit09 100% agree! But when you are 70% 623 it's pretty simple!
English

@Nate0500 @bprofit09 Very hybrid specific, short varieties in beans will handle 120k. But taller ones it’s just too much. Corn @36k in 30’s would tip back 1”. 40k in 20’s and no tip back, but it’s more determinate hybrid.
English

@bprofit09 @SWKellogg I'm right there with Shane. I agree with both pops but I've also been burnt with both. If you can get beans up and no frost 100k has been best roi but I'm back up to 115-120 on good dirt early for a little more insur. Corn in good dirt 36-38. We ydrop. Tram line as well
English

@SWKellogg I have often thought about doing this as well, do you side dress at all?
English

@bprofit09 Yep, side dresses all the corn v-5. FYI- I have a 20” applicator for sale.
English

@Noggle_Farms Saw a spinner rig spreading dry fert this morning. I guess if it’s a sustained 40 mph it’s an even spread right? 😂
English

@Cetter15 Stay positive, you can’t change it anyway. I think it was 2011 we didn’t plant anything until June 1st. Corn came out of the ground in 3 days and never slowed up (av 230+) 2019 planted 2500 ac beans last week of June (av 63) those rains will be nice in July/aug
