Many of us still consider it rude, crass, and undignified , but there is also a large group of people who think soical ettiquet is "out dated " and " has no value other than to oppress people." Exhibitionism in a new form is all. People who want to make a spectacle of themselves. From my loose understanding , this sort of behavior would be looked at similarly to Ganguro make up in japan. (Again. I might be getting the cultral context of Ganguro incorrect so pardon me if that doesn't help.)

I'm from the US , but my friend described walking around in the US is almost like walking into an internet chat room for a lot of other cultures. For example. I often say a positive thing about someones accessories. Not to hint at romantic intent but to support their creative choices. But , if there is an extended exchange of positive comments - that is probably romantic hints.

とりあえず日本人の「米に合いそう」というのは最上級の「この料理はとても美味しそうだ」の表現の一種であるというのは国際交流の上で誤解が生じないようになんかの日本語慣用句辞典とかに載せたほうがいい

@flag_maker @jfitzgenius As a southern I've always taken the above saying to mean " They cared enough to make sure everyone was fed , even if it wasn't very flavorful." The love and care being the focus.

@jfitzgenius Does that mean the quantity that satisfies people is valued more than how good it tastes? If you heard it without context, you might misunderstand it, but it’s a very intriguing compliment.

There is a huge demand for small trucks , preferably ones with very little or zero electronic components. But because of our environment regulations being based off of the weight class of the vehicle, it ends up cheaper for manufacturers to make big trucks that are less efficient. ( At least this is my understanding of the situation over here in the United States)

@Aethilgar1 @g_a_man2 With American eggs , you can soft boil them and get something close , it's not a 1 : 1 comparison, you could also seek out local egg farms and experience it that way. Be sure to wash and clean the eggs prior to consuming obviously if you're sourcing from local vendors.

@g_a_man2 I have tried a raw egg in rice for breakfast once but I am not sure that I got it quite right. Or, perhaps, our store-bought eggs here in America are not quite the right quality for the dish. Please, from your picture, what do you do next?
