@CanMNTonly You’re calling them minnows, it’s a farce to say that - it’s a really weak Championship this season and they’ve finished 7th, it’s just a nothing story. They’ve done okay, arguably (but not definitively) slightly above expectations but it’s not really worth commenting on.

The Wrexham takes on my timeline are absurd. They came into a league where 7 teams have squads worth over 100m euros with a squad value of 13m. They were the fucking minnows, spent a bunch of money, but that still doesnt get them CLOSE to the squad values in the Championship!

@Maximoose22_ I think there’s a player there if we get a bit more quality in the midfield. He makes a lot of good runs which we haven’t had the ability to find with early passes this season, but I think we can set up to help him and Bamford if we get our business right.

@b_sufc @bhmoth The club would be better off without fans like you. Try coaching and being involved with sport, you might understand what character and personality means within a squad then. 17 goals and 8 assists for McBurnie this season in a pretty average side.

@b_sufc @bhmoth As I mentioned previously, you don’t understand football - be negative all you want about former players, the reality is that the manager would take all three of them over the players we currently have. We’ve lacked players like McBurnie this season who play with an edge.

@SW_1889 @bhmoth Mcburnie contributed about 3 goals in that PL season Moore’s PO semi final goal was irrelevant as we were already 3-0 up on aggregate Brewster started in a PO final wow, that we lost Crazy contributions

@AllThingsBlades I don’t understand why any United fan would care about Wednesday currently if I’m honest. I cringe at our fans commenting on them and I cringe at their fans acting like success on the pitch is a given due to an ownership change. Both as bad/immature as each other.

Baffles me when our fans talk about Wednesday and vice versa one calls the other “obsessed.” It’s a same city rivalry ffs.

@keevs_89 It’s just the financial side of things that frustrates fans (and the media love-in). Your wage budget is bigger than Derby’s and a couple of million below Hull’s. They’ve both been in the EPL and Championship for the majority of the time you were in Non-League. It feels false.

The whole of the EFL routing for Derby or Hull to get 6th spot tomorrow. Honestly don’t understand the hate towards us. A club who nearly died, ran to the ground, beats the odds and is potentially 4 games from the PL. How can you dislike that? #WxmAFC 🔴⚪️

@b_sufc @bhmoth McBurnie was involved in a 9th place EPL finish and a Championship promotion at United (the latter with Hecky), Moore scored in a PO semi-final and Brewster started a PO final where we effectively went 2-0 up with him on the pitch. You don’t understand football.

No shock that McBurnie was the difference for Hull. Top Championship player with bags of character - exactly what we’ve missed. We could’ve had him if it wasn’t for Selles and the owners preferring AI dross and players like Matos and Soumare on big wages. #twitterblades

It won’t be said because it’s a dead rubber for us, but this has been one of the worst refereeing performances I’ve ever seen. Pathetic decisions throughout, favoured the home side whenever possible, and 10 minutes added time is a joke. #twitterblades #EFL

@FG_utb2 I think in general fans should be concerned. There are other clubs that are also in worrying positions with American ownership - I think Burnley are an example where things could go wrong really quickly if they don’t bounce straight back. Wednesday are due some optimism though.

Exciting times for them lot obviously but as a whole is anybody else concerned for the future of Sheffield football that both Sheffield clubs are now owned by Americans? Could end very badly 🥴

@Johnsonian1990 @TekkyTommy It’s just what people say when they’ve made a comment which is obviously erroneous (hence why people are quick to comment with irritation) to ensure that they can save face.

@Reece_1867 I mean this genuinely, you have got to stop with this stuff as a fanbase. The only Sheffield United fans who care about Sheffield Wednesday right now are the ones who are a bit thick themselves. Most of us don’t know the ins and outs of what’s happening at your club.

@_or30_ @alexleboxe Yeah that’s fair, against any of those top Heavyweights Wilder would’ve struggled massively and been hoping for one big shot. I would’ve loved to see him in with Joshua, it’s a shame it never happened. Wilder can take a shot, so that would’ve been action packed while it lasted.

@SW_1889 @alexleboxe Oh no I give Fury credit for being able to come back from being over 400 lbs and become champion within a year and half. But Wilder was ripe for the taking, whether it had been AJ, Parker, Fury, Klitschko, he was gonna lose. The Ortiz fights showed that.

I know he’s had recent hardship and all that he’s done for the profile of British boxing…🙌 But I just don’t get the hype of this resume and fight with a washed/semi retired Fury…am I missing something…is it just me!? You can’t proclaim this guy as one of the greatest or consider him for HOF if he’s skipped the majority of fighters in and around the top 10 🥊 I just don’t see it 📑 #JoshuaFury

@_or30_ @alexleboxe I’m not a fan of Wilder, but it’s important that fights aren’t looked back on with hindsight without context. Wilder beat Ortiz and took on Fury after he’d been out of serious action for years with well documented issues. Fury was spectacular in the first two fights.

@alexleboxe Weirdly AJ may still has a better resume. All Fury really has is fighting a younger Klitschko and being slightly more competitive against Usyk. Wilder was pretty terrible and was gonna get demolished by anyone with a pulse.

@Ontheropes12 @alexleboxe All three look decent on paper, but all have asterisks next to them in reality. Klitschko was well past it, Parker was light and nothing like the fighter he is now, and Povetkin has never really been top level - he’s no more dangerous than Makhmudov.

@alexleboxe Poor in recent times but if you add Klitshcko, Parker and Povetkin on to the picture it’s not a bad resume overall.

@alexleboxe He fought some decent names prior to the list here, but when you look at that resumé it’s pretty woeful given that he’s lost to all the serious names on there. Ruiz wasn’t considered serious at the time either. In truth, he doesn’t actually warrant the Fury fight 🤷🏻‍♂️

@cal__george I think that 5-6 is probably without losing any of the players that the manager wants to keep. If they go the number changes I would imagine. I think for the most part we’ll go all out in the loan market - wages will be freed up by the outgoings, so we can look at experience.

United are after 5-6 players in the summer says wilder. Hopefully that is - GK (compete with cooper) - CB (hopefully souttar) - RB (maybe choudhury as he’d cover RB and CM) - LW x 2 (if hamer goes, Mikey Johnston and Reyes Cleary would be my ideal) - CM (Choudhury covers 2) ..

@Maplo16 As long as they stabilise and don’t go bust, then any fan of a club outside the EPL mainstays would I reckon. League One is great if you get players who care, it’s not the end of the world and clubs can go again if they get it right.

Would you take winning the premier league, seeing your club in the champions league, and winning an FA Cup, and then back in league one in a decade? Cos I would. Absolutely.

@Nathanswfc2004 We won’t be getting Stones, people need to stop disrespecting him, he’ll join a top side - he’s world class. Phillips on loan and Kyle Walker won’t hurt our finances though. We’ll be showing £250k+ a week out of the door in the summer with the players that leave.
