A small group of preservationists focusing on railfreight in the South West!

EMU preservation isn’t about tales of luxury and privilege. It’s about machines that were wrapped up in millions of ordinary lives, of moments & memories shared by the hundreds & thousands of people who wove their stories while using these workaday units as they were built to be.

We're delighted to announce that we have reached an agreement with Beacon Rail to purchase two Mark 4 coaches for preservation. As Coach 'M's on the popular InterCity 225 electric trains they worked long-distance services out of London King’s Cross from 1989 until late 2025.

GB Railfreight has said it is putting its Class 60 fleet up for sale, along with 3 Cl 47s, 59003 and four 08/09 shunters. A number of the 60s are at Doncaster, 60095 on hire to DC Rail. More in issue 358.
