Gorthugher da! Today we were back up at the PVR, good weather meant we could finally come back and revisit OCA 112010. More chassis grinding, priming and painting. Also removing old, damaged and corroded box section from the bottom of the doors, shall be replaced like for like!

Preserving the every day, the sights we've taken for granted for years and years then suddenly it's all gone. Preserve what you can before it's too late. Whether it's your locomotives, DMU, EMU or even, like us, the lowly freight wagon!

EMU preservation isn’t about tales of luxury and privilege. It’s about machines that were wrapped up in millions of ordinary lives, of moments & memories shared by the hundreds & thousands of people who wove their stories while using these workaday units as they were built to be.

Nice announcement from @accurascale - The 20T brakevan! As you know we have one in our fleet of preserved wagons and with a simple renumber of this example you could have one of our very own wagons in 00! B954673 was saved from St Blazey and in a previous life was red/grey!

Our home base at the Plym Valley Railway opened their gates today for the unveiling of Class 43, 43063s new paint job. However, one of our followers spotted something just as interesting in the yard. Our wagons!! 📸@5029Tom

Its been a minute... B954673 has had work properly started on it now with one side worth of timber removed due to it being rotten and not very well looked after at its previous home. We've removed both ducketts for refurbishment too.... ....more soon!

How time flies! Two years since CDA 375030 entered preservation at the Plym Valley Railway. Little did we know that two years later our fleet would grow from one single wagon to now 3!

CAR B954673 may not look the part externally yet but internally that stove works wonders! Warming the brakevan up really quickly. Perfect for when working out in the winter!

Before and after with the OCA today, more of the doors have been tackled. Taking 40 years of paint and rust off, priming and painting. We even managed a start on the chassis. A long road ahead of us still..... ....more soon!

Another day and more work has been carried out on OCA 112010.... Today's efforts were solely focused on the remaining doors on the car park side of the wagon. They've been grinded back, stickers and all, painted in primer and the first coat of grey applied.

More OCA work has been done, a lot of work done on the doors and the chassis has finally gone mostly black. Doors have been grinded back and primed with one even making it into a top coat of the wagons future livery. All pillars are back and even a part of the chassis is done!
