Key messages for me from #HTAi2023Adelaide 3. For all the rhetoric that HTA should reflect societal/citizen values there was very little conference content that reflected how those values are collected and integrated.

Get this! @INAHTA_Network member @MaHTASMalaysia was asked, during the Covid-pandemic, to produce HTA-information to their Ministry within 24 hours! That sounds impossible! The impact story told by @ErniRomli64046 is rightfully titled “riding out the storm”. #HTAi2023Adelaide

@HTA_AHTA story on their HTA and the following review 5 years later, on Vertebroplasty, proved that evidence was either uncertain or showed no benefit. MSAC adviced the Ministry to withdraw funding. Great story told by @INAHTA_Network Chair @merlin_tracy

Yes, great workshop turnout! The topic of impact is more important than ever. With all the initiatives on harmonisation, the @INAHTA_Network impact framework is a great example of a common tool for agency use to assess their HTA impact.
