@GayleGledhill Dug out was at the 23m lines, so when my team were in deep defence on the opposite half of pitch I’d walk close to the halfway line on my half to communicate. 5 mins to go I was pulling the keeper off and giving an ongoing sub instructions walking next to them… told to go back

@SWilliamsCoach Great if the pitch dug out area is marked out - most aren’t. Common sense is always best - as an official I would use from the half way to the end of the dug out as a guide. Interested to know what you were told?! 😬

Umpiring / TO question: I thought a coach was allowed to go up to the half way line on their dugout side as their area, but today I’m being told this isn’t true. Any guidance or knowledge on this would be appreciated

@KiranRaichura My understanding was you can have 2 members of staff “pitch-side” or outside of the dugout. All others and subs expected to stay within dugout area. Manager engages with TO, coach can coach the game including talking to players and subs coming on and off
