@SeaofPower Hate to use anti-cap terminology, but the show also feels very much like a “clown show”. Light Up The Night by comparison is cohesive, high quality, and compliments the whales in a respectful manner.

@SeaofPower The show feels very distasteful to me. The hodgepodge of behaviors performed, the pop music selection, repurposed visuals from LUTN displayed on a screen it wasn’t meant for, the random narrations of facts. The show isn’t very classy and feels very Six Flags-esque.

Alright I just watched SWSD Light Up The Night, it is VERYYY different from the other parks lol!! I thought it was cute! I know they like to do things differently and sometimes, because they have to. "Clarity" for the finale song gave me big Shamu's House of Douse vibes! 😉

SeaWorld blaming the weather is such a cop-out response for low attendance/revenue. Whether the weather had an impact on the quarterly earnings or not, it should raise the question from investors, “what is SeaWorld doing to keep visitors in the park during inclement weather”.

United (SeaWorld) reported Q1 earnings today. Attendances dipped YOY, net loss doubled. Attendance of 3.2M, down 171k from 2025 Total revenue also decreased, down $8.7M to $278.3M Net loss was $34.1M, compared to $16M last year.

Another rough look behind the scenes at Busch Gardens Tampa. Zagora Cafe was hit with an emergency closure recommendation after inspectors reportedly found multiple rodent droppings throughout dry storage and kitchen areas, including on shelving and canned goods.

@SeaofPower They really haven’t promoted any of the recent shows. Orca Encounter, Sea Lion & Otter Spotlight, and Flippers, Facts & Fun all kinda just appeared with little build-up or marketing behind them. Makes me wonder how they measure success if they’re barely promoting them.

@FP_2020R Yes! I’m stoked for the changes and glad to see the return of theatrical summer shows. Wonder what changed though? Park president is the same, CEO is the same, & Scott Ross is still there. Makes me wonder why we’re seeing the first signs of positivity from the park in years.

SeaWorld is now being sued by @SesameWorkshop to end their decades-long relationship. Given the company’s recent business practices, this was only a matter of time. Sesame Street Land itself is a great example of the poor stewardship SeaWorld has shown toward the brand.

@zstrasbaugh Not necessarily. Using sticker material for theming was destined to fail from the beginning. It’s all about guest proofing the park to withstand wear and tear.
