Sheffield United charging £38 for an adult ticket for the visit of Hull next month 😳 £30 for senior, £24 for a young adult. Good grief, can we all agree this is too much?

Very valuable 3 points, but play like that again, reckon every other team in the league beat us. Our goal difference is shite, we should have put 6 or 7 past Wednesday, but we took foot off the gas after the third. Could be a big missed opportunity that #hcafc

@HLTCO It's getting just as bad in the Championship imo. 3pm kicks offs are less and less, sterile atmospheres and possession based shite from most sides.

I don’t know if it’s just the echo-chamber of my Twitter algorithm but it really does feel, this season in particular, as though a hell of a lot of people are falling out of love with the Premier League. Crucially not with football as a whole but with the Prem particularly.
Green Scouser@Green_Scouser

Does any neutral fan enjoy watching games of football anymore when their team isn't involved? I think the PL is at its lowest ever level in terms of entertainment. The nonsense during det pieces, poor standard of refereeing and too much play acting has made it unwatchable

@JordScfcHutch @JMC92_ @JohnSalmonX My point was that it was us the Brits that actually came up with "Soccer" not the yanks, which is why many people hate the term, because it is seen as American. I will never call it soccer like.

@SWood18 @JMC92_ @JohnSalmonX It was known as football before soccer, soccer was a slang nickname for association given by the upper class in Oxford in the late 1800s, It was always called football by the working class & then when football went professional the upper class dropped the nickname and followed on

@BuckledFrame218 @JMC92_ @JohnSalmonX Yeah correct, it wasn't renamed soccer by the yanks though like people think/want to believe. It's football to me, always has been and always will be.

@SWood18 @JMC92_ @JohnSalmonX It was called football, "association football" to be precise. It was changed to be called soccer because rugby was also called Football.

Agree completely, genuinely debating if I can even be arsed to go.

Hey @EFL @SkyBetChamp ....please sod off with all these 12.30 kick offs on a Saturday. It's bad enough that you want to ruin one kick off time on a Saturday, but come on, there's no reason to ruin NINE games, like you are doing this Saturday! Enough is enough, drop the 12:30's!

@mikepitt84 Yep, would much rather not have VAR. The fact it's in the play-off final is a complete disgrace. Blaming referees is just the culture of football fans and their devotion to their clubs. A referee mistake will be picked up on rather than say your striker missing 3 sitters.

@SWood18 That’s your opinion. But… The play off final has VAR… if a 92nd minute winner against you is scored, he’s offside by 2 yards… blatant as can be. Would you be happy to have no VAR & just say oh well the officials made a mistake like a player can.

Thats certainly a way of telling people you never actually attend matches. I'd say less than 1% of regular match going fans want VAR anywhere near the game. There are still mistakes with VAR, and there will be without it. Referees very rarely cost a team a game.
Mike Pitt@mikepitt84

@johncrossmirror John, you obviously didn’t watch the game at Villa park tonight… that’s a tight call compared to what them officials got wrong! Any one who don’t want VAR need there head checked… these officials are awful!

@mikepitt84 I go watch every England game who unfortunately do have to endure VAR. Going up to the Premier League has zero appeal because of VAR. Referees will make mistakes, like players do. As ive said already very rarely impacts the outcome of the game. VAR isnt worth it.

@SWood18 Why am I arsed? Why the fuck are you??… you don’t have it, you won’t be having it anytime soon. Awful decisions, blatantly wrong… there is no excuse for them. Again VAR isn’t the problem it’s the muppets using it… same muppets who were so shocking yesterday!

@mikepitt84 Why you arsed though? The delays in the game, the joy been sucked out of goal celebrations is worth it is it? All for what? You won anyway, or have I got that wrong? Teams win cause they're better than their opponents, rarely does a ref have that much impact to change that.

@SWood18 I go to enough games to know… VAR would have at least chalked off Villas offside goal & give the pen for handball… as they were black & white The should be red for Digne… is different that’s opinions. Remember it isn’t VAR.. it’s the same fools as yesterday using it.

@miffta @Watson_SLdn Spain confirmed the venue last time something stupid like 4 weeks before. By UEFA rules they're meant to announce 120 days before the game.

If* England reach the World Cup final (if* etc), they will not sell out their official FA allocation. The cost of tickets in the most expensive two categories are putting off members of England Supporters Travel Club. There will be only 3,409 England fans present at MetLife Stadium on July 19 via the official FA allocation of 4,500. The two cheapest categories were oversubscribed by members. But the most expensive categories were undersubscribed, especially Cat 1 ($8,680) also Cat 2 ($5,575). Semi-final also undersubscribed. Of the official FA allocation of 3,500, only 2,686 taken up by members if* England reach the semi (members baulking at the most expensive tickets, Cat 1 $3,170 and Cat 2 $2,440). All England games up to and including the quarter-final are oversubscribed. "And we’re having to fork out for those tickets now (payments taken from 9-22 Feb)," one England fan says. "We get the money back later in the summer if England don’t get knock-out games we’ve paid for." #ENG 🦁🦁🦁
